Response to GVS Questionnaire

Why do you want to run for the study commission?

Working for a local General Contractor, I have had first hand experience working with the City of Bozeman, the City of Belgrade, and Gallatin County on many levels for over six years. In that time the area has grown considerably with a lack of fore site of what the area needs. Running for this commission with my construction background could bring fresh perspectives that could potentially drive innovative approaches that would be presented to the voting community in 2026.

What skills and experience do you have that you think will help you in your role as a study commissioner?

With my background in construction and having to work with multiple branches of City and County government departments, applying good communication and analytical skills are crucial for a commission like this.

Have you ever served in local government, either as an elected official or volunteered on an advisory board? If so, when and in what capacity?

I have not served in local government, but thought this was a great opportunity to help bridge the Gallatin Valley government since this study is only held every 10 years.

What would you hope to achieve if elected to serve as a study commissioner?

The goal of this commission is to find solutions to present to voters on how improve the current processes of local government to better serve the community, and I hope to be a part of transparently shaping the Gallatin Valley for the better.
