Response to GVS Questionnaire
Why do you want to run for the study commission?
The Government Study Review Commission is a unique opportunity to examine and evaluate our local government to determine if there is an opportunity to deliver more efficient services to the residents of Gallatin County.
What skills and experience do you have that you think will help you in your role as a study commissioner?
I believe I have the ability to be a good listener and have experience with Gallatin County government to fairly evaluate various methods of providing local government services.
Have you ever served in local government, either as an elected official or volunteered on an advisory board? If so, when and in what capacity?
I was elected in 2014 as a Gallatin County Commissioner from 2015-2020. Prior to my service as county commissioner, I was appointed to various Gallatin County Boards such as the Gallatin County Planning Board, Gallatin County Board of Adjustments, Gallatin County Capital Improvements Committee, and the Gallatin County Gravel Pit Taskforce.
What would you hope to achieve if elected to serve as a study commissioner?
I would hope to achieve a fair and honest review of Gallatin County government and to put forward to the voters an opportunity to improve government's delivery of services.
